Skipfish – It’s the Google’s Revelation!

In the recent past Google released its open-source web security scanner named as the Skipfish. This web security system has been designed to allow the web users to scan their web applications for security means. This is an effective tool and has managed to draw more response after its launch. Such tool will scan the web application in order to detect the flaws. It can too detect the tricky scenarios such as blind SQL or XML injection.

Zalewski wrote that web users could find different types of open-source scanning tools online. There are also some commercial open-source scanning tools available for the users online. However, Zalewski has reported that web users need to use such tool that best suit them. At the same time he added that Skipfish is a high pace or performance tool that can negotiate with 500 requests per second against the online targets. It can too negotiate with 2,000 requests per second on the LAN’s. However, the ability to take requests also depends on the capacity of the server that is tested. He has also added that people need to use Skipfish only for the web services they own or having the permission to test it.
